I started writing this for my daughters.

I want them to understand how I think about life while I am living it: the values I hold, the questions that challenge me, the lessons and mistakes that shape me, and the people and ideas that influence me along the way.

What began as a handful of essays gradually grew into something larger. Family. Faith. Community. Passions and interests. Health. Work. The people I meet, the conversations we share, the experiences I carry with me, and the questions that continue to capture my attention. Together, they form a project I call My Life Under Construction.

The title matters because it reflects a simple truth. Growth is never finished. There is always another lesson to learn, another blind spot to uncover, another opportunity to become wiser, kinder, and more useful to others.

The act of writing helps me think. It forces me to slow down, ask better questions, and explore ideas with greater depth and intention.

While this work begins as letters to my daughters, readers often find pieces of their own lives here as well.

If these essays serve any purpose, I hope they encourage others to pause, ask better questions, and pay closer attention to the people and experiences that shape a life.
